My sessions are designed to feel more like an adventure than a traditional photoshoot. There’s no pressure for everyone to sit still, smile on cue or create perfect poses. Instead, I gently guide you when needed while allowing space for your family’s natural personality to shine through.

Children can explore, play and be themselves, because those genuine moments are often the ones that become the most meaningful memories. A laugh, a cuddle, a curious expression or a quiet moment together can tell a far more powerful story than a perfectly posed photograph.

Although property & commercial photography have been the heart of my business for the past six years, family photography has always been something I've loved.

As a parent myself, I understand that the most meaningful stories are often found in the smallest moments. I love capturing the connections, personalities and little details that make your family’s story uniquely yours.

  • Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, with plenty of time for your family to settle in and simply be yourselves. Rather than directing lots of poses, I’ll gently guide you when needed while allowing the natural moments, interactions and little details to unfold.

    Whether we're walking, playing, exploring or simply spending time together, I’ll be there to capture the connection and personality of your family as naturally as possible.

  • That's completely fine — and very normal! There’s no expectation for children to sit still, smile on cue or behave perfectly.

    I’ll follow their lead and allow them time to explore, play and get comfortable. Some of the most memorable photographs happen when children are simply being themselves, so there’s no pressure to make everything go to plan.

  • I love photographing families outdoors, using natural light and beautiful locations across Devon. Sessions can take place somewhere that already feels special to your family — a favourite beach, woodland, park or countryside spot — or I can suggest a location based on the kind of setting you'd like.

    The most important thing is choosing somewhere where your family feels comfortable and children have space to explore, play and simply be themselves.

    I’m also happy to discuss sessions at home, particularly for younger children or families who would feel more relaxed in their own space.

  • I recommend choosing clothes that you feel comfortable and confident in, rather than dressing too formally. Soft, natural colours and simple textures tend to photograph beautifully and work well with outdoor surroundings. There’s no need for everyone to match. Coordinating colours and tones usually creates a more natural and timeless look. Most importantly, wear something that allows you to move, play and enjoy the session comfortably. Before your session, I can provide guidance and suggestions to help everyone feel confident.

  • Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, allowing time for children to settle in and for natural moments to unfold. Most sessions last around 60–90 minutes, depending on the location, age of your children and how the day flows.

  • Living in Devon means we’re used to changing weather! Some of the most beautiful photographs can happen on overcast days or with a little wind and atmosphere. If conditions are unsuitable, we’ll simply rearrange your session for another date.

  • After your session, I’ll carefully select and professionally edit your final images. Your finished gallery will usually be delivered via a secure link within 7 days, ready to view, download and share with your family. Images will be shared in high definition, suitable for printing.
